Ateliers designer, Vanessa Frisbee, is the connsumate
Once described by an article in Red Magazine, as "A woman
obsessed by jewellery", Vanessa
trained as a jeweller at Central St. Martins and is considered one of the worlds leading jewellery design
as a celebrity stylist and jewellery historian, she has spent over 25
years globe trotting and collecting. From Notting Hill to the Atlas mountains
of Morocco and beyond, her travels have given her a multitude of tiny beautiful
objects, ancient beads, stones and vintage jewellery - ten years ago,
she began creating the kind of modern collectible jewellery she would like
to wear - and Atelier was born.
Vanessa set up Atelier in the picturesque market town of Newark on Trent
in Nottinghamshire in 2004. Inspired by everything from modern art,
to ancient culture, Vanessa creates bespoke pieces which have already attracted
a dedicated circle of clients who love the way that her bespoke jewellery
design is so original, unique and infiniitely wearable.
Importantly, all our jewellery is designed and manufactured here in the UK. We employ trained UK goldsmiths to work with us, not cheap labour in overseas factories - If something is special to you, you deserve to know exactly where and how it was made and by whom. In a world where we don't tolerate blood diamonds and dirty gold, we feel you shouldn't have to guess about the origins of your jewellery. All life is unique and special, made with love. We make our jewellery that way too. We don't compromise so you shouldn't either.
If you would like to come and see us to discuss a commission you are of course welcome at any time, though we recommend you contact us and make an appointment. Click the link for our opening hours
