About Atelier

Once called "A woman obsessed by Jewellery" by Red Magazine, jeweller and Jewellery Historian, Vanessa Frisbee has always loved and worked with jewellery - for over a decade she supplied vintage jewellery to collectors, stylists and celebrities, making her own pieces only when she had the time.

When Vanessa Moved from London to Nottingham four years ago, she set up Atelier Contemporary Jewellery, producing her own work full time, and soon after she opened her first shop in Newark, Nottinghamshire.

The gallery sells what Vanessa couldn't find outside of London - fashionable , wearable, contemporary handcrafted designer jewellery by our own workshop and additionally over 40 British, American and European artists.

Atelier's workshops employ a team of like minded, forward thinking jewellers to supply both its own shop and other selected outlets with well made, wearable contemporary jewellery. Its collections with their inspiration drawn from 20 years of globe trotting in Africa, India and the Americas are eclectic, wearable and charming.

All Atelier's ranges are designed and made in Britain from high quality precious metals and materials and we like to think they'll still be around for your children and their children to enjoy as heirlooms. In the meantime, wear and enjoy.
